About Us
My name is Mike, AKA "Pops". I started Toxic Skate in 2008 with my wife and two teenage kids by setting up a 10 X 10 tent at Pacific Community Extreme Sports Park in Vancouver, Washington. My love of Skateboarding started back when I was growing up in Southern California, where we had no shortage of backyard ramps and empty pools to shred. Moving to the Northwest in the 80's and starting a family kept me busy with not much time for skating. Now, having a teenage son who has the same passion for skating that I did at his age has made me re-discover the love for the sport again. Opening Toxic Skate fulfills a dream I had as kid to have my own Skate Shop. Being set up at Pacific Community Park has helped me to get to know the local skaters and BMX riders. We continue to take their requests for the products they want and we carry them at our shop. We carry Pro Decks like; Girl, Black Label, Anti-Hero, Bacon, Creature just to name a few. Our trucks are Independent, Thunder and Ventures. We have a wide range of Bones and Spitfire wheels. For BMX we carry brands like Odessey, ODI, We the People and KMC to name a few. We place orders or a regular basis and if there is something you want but don't see in our display cases, we are more than happy check availability and place a special order for you.
